Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is my $50 deposit refundable?
A: The $50 deposit is non-refundable but it will be deducted from your reunion budget balance.
Q: How much will I be refunded if the event is canceled by the committee due to an unforeseen circumstance (severely inclement weather, danger to public health/safety, etc.)?
A: You will receive a refund less your deposit and cost of souvenir/printed items. All reunion paraphernalia will be mailed to class members as soon as possible.
Q: How much will I be refunded if I can no longer attend the reunion due to personal reasons?
A: You will not receive a refund if you can no longer attend the reunion due to personal reasons. All reunion paraphernalia will be mailed to you as soon as possible. Please notify us in the event that you can no longer attend. You may transfer admission to The Oxford Ball and Family Day to any guest(s) of your choice.
Q: Can other friends and family use the reunion discount code at The Higgins Hotel if they are attending the festivities for the weekend?
A: Yes, they can! They simply need to provide our code when booking to receive our discounted rate.
Q: Can I attend the gala if I do not wear Oxford Style shoes?
A: Of Course! Attendees, male or female, may wear whatever formal shoe that they are comfortable wearing. Oxford-style shoes are encouraged but not required.
Q: Can I pay for only the events that I would like to attend?
A: To ensure the success of the entire weekend, we are only accepting
payments for the full amount of the reunion budget or sponsorship fee. Unfortunately, if you choose not to pay the full amount of the budget, you will not receive any reunion souvenirs nor will you be able to attend events that are exclusive to SMA's Class of 2001. You are welcome to attend The Oxford Ball by purchasing full price tickets through Eventbrite.
Q: What events are children allowed to attend?
A: Children, defined as persons who are 17 years old and younger, are allowed to attend our community service event on Saturday morning as well as Family Day on Sunday. Children shall be the sole responsibility of their individual parent(s)/guardian(s). The previously mentioned events shall be treated as public events. SMA's Class of 2001 and their affiliates are not responsible for any incident and/or accidents.
